dc.description Raising an opportune alarm in a Boiling Water Reactor (BWR), as a result of digital signal processing on Local Power Range Monitors (LPRMs) data, is a critical task. In this work, a real time implementation for an empirical mode decomposition (EMD) based estimator for the decay ratio (DR) is presented. The proposed algorithm is implemented with support of a System on Chip platform and the achieved speedup, with respect to a classical CPU implementation, is reported. es_MX
